Location — Bari Sardo
Bari Sardo is a charming village built on the basalt plateau of Teccu ’e ne Crastu, surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and orchards. The area carries traces of ancient settlements, including the Nuraghe Sellersu and the Domus de Janas (“giant’s tombs”) Pizzu’e Monti and Su Rettore fountain on the hills of Su Pranu.
The character of Barisardo is shaped by historic rural houses, Spanish towers, ancient sheepfolds, and villas. The village is renowned for its traditional weaving — carpets, tapestries, blankets, and linens. Its religious festivals are also remarkable, especially the celebrations of the Blessed Virgin of Monserrata and Saints Michele and Girolamo, featuring beautiful street processions (both in September). The parish church Nostra Signora di Monserrato in the village center is highly recommended.
On the second Sunday of July, the festival Su Nenneri is held in honor of San Giovanni Battista.

What Awaits You
Caring for the Physical Body
Conscious care for the body is key to overall wellbeing and inner harmony. This program helps you reconnect with your body, support its vitality, and offer it deep regeneration.
Morning & Evening Iyengar Yoga (120 min – 1 class per day)
Iyengar yoga is a precise and therapeutic style focused on alignment, breath awareness, and the gradual building of strength and flexibility.
Morning practice awakens the body and sets the tone for a clear, energized day, while evening sessions support release and deep relaxation.
Thanks to props such as blocks, belts, and bolsters, the practice is accessible even to complete beginners.
Caring for the Emotional & Spiritual Body – WANT MORE PRACTICE?
During the retreat, you can also join optional practices beyond the basic program.
Pranayama & Chanting
The breath is a bridge between body and mind. Pranayama — conscious breathing techniques — deepens this connection. Regular practice improves oxygenation, supports vitality, calms the nervous system, and brings deep inner peace.
You will learn techniques such as:
Nadi Shodhana – alternate nostril breathing for balancing energies
Kapalabhati – cleansing breath enhancing alertness
Bhramari – humming breath for mental release and calming
Chanting — repeated singing or recitation of mantras — has a soothing and harmonizing effect on both body and mind. It slows the breath, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and reduces stress hormones.
Sound vibrations resonate through the body, stimulate the vagus nerve, and induce deep relaxation. The brain shifts into alpha and theta waves, improving focus, stabilizing emotions, and naturally quieting the inner dialogue.
A simple yet powerful method to create inner space, tranquility, and renewal.
Meditation & Sound Bath
This practice guides you into a state of deep calm and inner connection.
Meditation releases mental tension, reduces stress, and increases clarity, while the sound bath uses the vibrations of Tibetan bowls, gongs, and other harmonizing instruments to support deep relaxation and energetic balance.
Sound penetrates to the cellular level, releasing tension and bringing a sense of harmony and renewal.
Daily practice helps you tune in to your natural rhythm and create space for inner stillness.
