Iyengar Yoga Mentorship Program 2026/27
A Year-Long Course for Dedicated Practitioners Seeking to Deepen Their Practice
Starting in September 2026, we’re opening a new cycle of the Iyengar Yoga Mentorship Program – a year-long intensive course that integrates study, practice, and personal guidance.
The program is designed for those who have been practicing yoga for at least 2–3 years and wish to progress further – in their practice, understanding, and life.
About the Program
The course runs over ten weekends (four before Christmas, five through summer) and focuses on building a solid foundation of practice.
Each weekend combines theory, asana and pranayama practice, philosophy and anatomy studies, reflection, and individual guidance.
The mentorship is not a typical yoga course or a teacher training.
It is a space for personal growth, independence, and a deeper understanding of yoga as a tool for self-knowledge.
This program is for students who:
-
want to deepen their Iyengar yoga practice,
-
are considering the teaching path or preparing for the Level 1 certification,
-
seek personal mentorship and long-term development under the guidance of an experienced teacher,
-
wish to integrate yoga into their everyday lives.
What the Course Offers
-
progressive study of asanas and pranayama under the guidance of a certified teacher
-
theoretical foundations in philosophy, anatomy, and physiology
-
recommended reading and study materials for self-study
-
opportunities for assisting, observing, and one-on-one mentoring
-
feedback and support for developing your personal practice
-
an environment that encourages collaboration, reflection, and personal growth
You’ll gain practical tools to deepen your practice and understanding of yoga as both an art and a science – while opening the space for your own transformation.
Your Mentor: Helena Kubrychtová Bartová
Hello, I’m Helena. I’ve been dedicated to yoga – and especially Iyengar Yoga – for more than 20 years.
Teaching and sharing knowledge have always come naturally to me. I graduated from a pedagogical school and later from Charles University (Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) with a degree in coaching.
Over time, I’ve expanded my approach to the body with complementary modalities such as:
Access Consciousness, Sound Healing, Spiritual Coaching, and Myofascial Release.
My passion lies in deep bodywork – sensing its structures, layers, and interconnections.
For me, yoga is a path toward understanding the unity of body, breath, and mind.
In recent years, I’ve also been studying assisted psychedelic therapy, which deepens my insight into transformation and consciousness.
In my teaching, I emphasize a responsible, safe, and mindful approach to the body, along with openness and authenticity.
Yoga, to me, is a journey back to oneself – to the body that feels, the breath that guides, and the awareness that expands.
